General Notes
Urzáiz Tortajada identifies Mira de Amescua as probable author; it had been printed as by Mira de Amescua in Escogidas 39 (Madrid, 1673).
Antonio Mira de Amescua, La reyna Sevilla. Usually known as Los carboneros de Francia, and most often printed under that title. The BNE's U/10330(6) also has the title La reyna Sevilla and collation A-D^4, "del doctor Mira de Mezqua" (note this spelling for evidence). Signing the third leaf of gatherings of quarto in fours (as in this example) is not uncommon (in Seville) before 1650. The BNE copy has not been digitized, but it seems likely that it and the BNE copy are of the same edition. (Email correspondence from D. W. Cruickshank.)
