The first two lines are: "Ha del obscuro Reyno del espanto / estancia del dolor, mansion del llanto,". In the image, notice the abbbreviation used in the words "espanto" and "llanto".Urzáiz Tortajada identifies Luis de Belmonte y Bermúdez as author.
There are several plays with this title: by Lope ("De entre lóbregas cavernas...", BNE, Mss/15084); by Francisco de Malaspina (Ha de ese centro oscuro!ʺ, Escogidas 14 (Madrid: Domingo García Morrás, 1661), in which it appears under its alternative title La fuerza de la verdad; and by un ingenio de esta corteʺ (ÆHa del oscuro reino del espanto!ʺ). The ingenio is usually reckoned to be Luis de Belmonte Bermúdez, and this is the commonest surviving version; there seem to be no early prints of the Lope play. Medel (1735) records both La fuerza de la verdad (p. 46) and El diablo predicador as by Malaspina (p. 32), and El diablo predicador as by Luis de Belmonte (p. 32). (Email communication from D. W. Cruickshank.)
