This play is atttributted to Moreto with the title "Lo que merece un soldado y La cautela en la amistad", although authorship is debatable according to Urzáiz Tortajada.
In various lists, such as Medel, Godínez is attributed as author. Alternatively, Esquerdo (1979, 230) cites a document where "Lo que merece un soldado se atribuye a Rasete."
