Bound in vellum with "Varias comedias 14" and the number 7 written on the spine and remnants of ties. Inscription on flyleaf: "John Carr 1805." It contains a typewritten table of contents and part of an armorial bookplate : "Atavis editus, Jo-." Another bookplate affixed to the back flyleaf reads: "New York University, University Heights Library, gift of Harry Clifton Heaton, Department of Romance Languages, University College, 1910-1950."
