italics and roman type ☜☞ letra cursiva, itálica o bastardilla y letra romana
Italics are slanted characters while roman typeface letters are upright. On the first page of sueltas, the caption title, title, or author were often not set in the same type. Some could be in italics and others in roman. Dramatis personae and stage directions were set almost exclusively in italics.
